Unit fully checked, serviced, fitted with all new bearings and returned
Fairey Overdrive Complete Overhaul Service
On receipt of your unit and clutch sleeve, it is dismantled, thoroughy cleaned in a solvent bath and all components are checked for damage and assessed for suitablilty for reuse.
We will contact you to advise if damage has been found and the options available to you to make the unit operational again.
On reconstruction, all oil seals, gaskets, circlips and o-rings are replaced with new. We fit new swivel pads to the selector fork and overhaul the synchro hub with new springs, balls and pads. We also install a full set of new bearings manufactured by SKF, IKO, KOYO or NTN.
Any part found to need replacing, beyond those stated, are done so at component cost only; no additional labour time will be charged; i.e, to supply and rebuild an LT76 unit with a new mainshaft and clutch sleeve would increase the service charge by £193 only.
LT76 Overdrive are then road tested. At this time we are unable to road test the LT95 Overdrives.
We then pack your unit up and return it to you via a fully insured courier. In the parcel, we will include a little tub of ROCOL anti-scuffing-paste for the clutch sleeve on the LT76 and a new nut and lock washer to fit it with. We also provide a new gasket for the transfer box top cover (LT76 only) and for the joint between the Overdrive unit and transfer box..
To complete the rebuild takes around two days of workshop time and we aim to get units back in the post to customers within two weeks of receipt.
You will need to arrange and pay the initial postage to get the unit from your address to our workshop. However, return postage is included in the service fee.
